IBP / S&OP Facilitation

Integrated Business Planning aligns strategic, operational and financial objectives for the organization to perform to “one single sheet of music”.

Facilitating Integrated Business Planning (IBP) in an organization involves several key steps.  SCT will leads the design and coordination of key resources to bring the process together.

Our Approach

  • Leadership Commitment

Ensure top-level commitment to IBP as a strategic initiative, with clear communication of its importance and benefits throughout the organization.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Establish cross-functional teams representing various departments like sales, operations, finance, and marketing to collaborate on “one sheet of music” for the entire organization.

  • Data Integration

Definition and common language of data elements and integration of data from various sources across the organization to create a single, comprehensive view of the business. Many companies are utilizing AI to expedite this process.

  • Process Alignment

Align business processes with IBP objectives, ensuring that decision-making processes are synchronized across departments.

  • Technology Enablement

Invest in technology platforms that support IBP, including integrated planning tools, analytics software, and collaborative platforms.

  • The Monthly Meeting

Conduct regular reviews of IBP processes and performance, adjusting as needed to adapt to changing market conditions and business goals.  The key questions the executive leadership must answer are:  How much are we going to sell, how much are we going to make and what is the inventory impact across the entire extended network.
